She Said No - The Crown

$50.00

In 2018, I embarked on a powerful artistic journey, creating a series of 96 panels centered on the word "No" from the perspective of a woman of color. These original works are striking black-and-white acrylic paintings on 16 × 20-inch canvases, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and boundary-setting.

Building on this series, I’ve developed a collection of 8 × 10-inch framed and matted drawings and collages inspired by the original works. These pieces retain the bold, evocative style of the paintings while offering an accessible way to experience and own a part of this meaningful series.

Discover the original works and the story behind them at DMJ Studio. Bring this series into your space and join the conversation it sparks.
